Kagoshima Nanatsujima Mega-Solar Power Plant is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 314 acres.
The project generates 78,800MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 22,000 households. The project cost is $345m.

Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Kyushu Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years, starting from 2013.
Contractors Involved
Kyocera, Kyudenko and Takenaka were selected to render EPC services for the solar PV power project.
Kyocera was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company installed 290,000 modules at the site.
SMA Solar Technology supplied 140 of its Sunny Central 500CP-JP inverters to the project site.
Kyocera and Kyudenko were contracted to render operations & maintenance services for the project.
