Kahana Solar Project is a proposed 20 MWAC solar photovoltaic system coupled with a 20 MW, 4-hour (80 MWh) DC-coupled battery energy storage system (DC-ESS). Kahana Solar, LLC is an SPV formed for the project. The solar arrays will connect into an existing Maui Electric Company, Ltd. (Maui Electric) transmission line adjacent to the site.
