Description

The project is currently owned by Inter RAO UES with a stake of 100%.

It is a CCGT with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant can also run on Diesel. The fuel is procured from CJSC Gazprom Mezhregiongas.

The project generated 6,355,580MWh of electricity.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in October 2005.

Technopromexport was selected to render EPC services for the Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 (Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 Block I) project. Technopromexport was selected to render EPC services for the Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 (Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 Block II) project.

Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 (Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 Block I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod GTU-160 gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 150MW nameplate capacity.

Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 (Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 Block I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod T-150-7,7 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 150MW nameplate capacity.

Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 (Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 Block II) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod GTU-160 gas turbines. The phase consists of 2 gas turbines with 150MW nameplate capacity.

Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 (Kaliningradskaya Thermal Power Plant 2 Block II) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod T-150-7,7 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 125MW nameplate capacity.
