The Kamakhyanagar Ultra Mega Power Plant is 3,200MW coal fired power project. It is planned in Odisha, India. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in multiple phases. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in June 2022.

Description
The project is being developed by Odisha Thermal Power. The project is co-owned by Odisha Hydro Power and Odisha Mining, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.
It is a steam turbine power plant.
The project cost is expected to be around $2,508.89m.
Development Status
Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in June 2022.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to GRIDCO under a power purchase agreement. The offtake capacity is expected to be 3,200MW.
