Karatsu Offshore Wind Project_Acacia is a 600MW offshore wind power project. It is planned in East China Sea, Saga, Japan. The project is currently in announced stage. It will be developed in single phase. Post completion of the construction, the project is expected to get commissioned in 2028.

Description

The project is being developed by Saga Offshore Wind Power. Iberdrola Renewables Japan and Osaka Gas are currently owning the project.

The project cost is expected to be around $2,940m. The project will be spread over an area of 130km². The turbines will be mounted on fixed type foundations.

The wind power project consists of 75 turbines, each with 8MW nameplate capacity.
