Kerinci is a 420MW hydro power project. It is planned on Merangin River, Kerinci Lake river/basin in Jambi, Indonesia. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2025.

The project is being developed and currently owned by PT KerInci Merangin Hydro.
The gross head of the project will be 400m. The project cost is expected to be around $929.451m.
The nameplate capacity of electric generator(s) to be installed at the project site is 103 MVA.
The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2025.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project will be sold to PT PLN (Persero) under a power purchase agreement.
Toshiba Hydro Power (Hanzhou) will be the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company is expected to provide 4 units of francis turbines, each with 105MW nameplate capacity.
