Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant is a 655MW coal fired power project. It is located in Zabaykalsky Krai, Russia. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in October 1995.

Description

The project is currently owned by Inter RAO UES with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine with Cogen power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Fuel Oil. The fuel is procured from Urtuysky Coal Mine, Kharanorskiy 2B and 3B Quarries, CJSC Irkutsknefteprosukt, LLC Magnatek.

The project generated 3,611,480MWh of electricity.

Contractors Involved

EnergoProekt and LLC Inter Rao Engineering were selected to render EPC services for the Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit III).

Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit I) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod K-215-130-1 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 215MW nameplate capacity.

Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit II) is equipped with Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod K-215-130-1 steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 215MW nameplate capacity.

Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit III) is equipped with Power Machines K-225-12,8-3R steam turbine. The phase consists of 1 steam turbine with 225MW nameplate capacity.

Elektrotyazhmash-Privod supplied TGV-200-2MUZ electric generator for the Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit I).

Elektrotyazhmash-Privod supplied TGV-200-2MUZ electric generator for the Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit II).

Power Machines supplied TZFP-220-2U3 electric generator for the Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit III).

Taganrog Boiler-Making Works Krasny Kotelshchik supplied steam boiler for the Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant (Kharanorskaya Thermal Power Plant Unit I).
