Kinyerezi – Chalinze Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 93km from Kinyerezi, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, to Chalinze, Pwani, Tanzania.
The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2022.
Kinyerezi – Chalinze Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
Approximately $41.85m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
The development of the Kinyerezi – Chalinze Line project has been approved by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority.
