Kipling is a 233.3MW hydro power project. It is located on Mattagami river/basin in Ontario, Canada. The project is currently active. It has been developed in multiple phases. Post completion of construction, the project got commissioned in 1966.

Contractors Involved

Kiewit Alarie Partnership was selected to render EPC services for the hydro power project.

Kipling (Kipling Expansion) is equipped with Andritz Hydro propeller turbine. The phase consists of 1 turbine with 80MW nameplate capacity.

Kipling (Kipling Main) is equipped with Dominion Engineering Works propeller turbines. The phase consists of 2 turbines with 78MW nameplate capacity.

Andritz Hydro supplied 1 electric generator for the Kipling (Kipling Expansion). The generator capacity is 87 MVA.

Westinghouse Electric supplied electric generator(s) for the Kipling (Kipling Main).
