The project is developed and owned by The West Bengal Power Development. The company has a stake of 100%.
It is a steam turbine power plant that is used for Baseload. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is coal. In case of shortage of coal the plant can also run on Fuel Oil.
