Kynshi Stage I is a 270MW hydro power project. It is planned on Kynshi river/basin in Meghalaya, India. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project is being developed by Athena Kynshi Power. Athena Kynshi Power and State Government of Meghalaya are currently owning the project.

Kynshi Stage I is a run-of-river project. The hydro reservoir capacity is planned to be 344.8 million cubic meter. The gross head of the project will be 581m. The project is expected to generate 1,088.89 GWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $444.673m.

The hydro power project consists of 2 turbines, each with 135MW nameplate capacity.

The project will have 2 electric generators installed at the project site. The generator capacity is likely to be 166.66 MVA.
