La Loma – Sogamoso Line, Colombia

La Loma – Sogamoso Line is a 500kV overhead line with a length of 275km from La Loma, San Andres and Providencia, Colombia, to Sogamoso, Andean, Colombia.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2023.


La Loma – Sogamoso Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Unidad de Planeacion Minero Energetica. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

The construction works on the La Loma – Sogamoso Line project will be commenced in 2021 and commissioning is expected in 2023.

Contractors involved

Energia Estrategica was appointed by Unidad de Planeacion Minero Energetica to undertake the construction works on the La Loma – Sogamoso Line project.
