La Planicie Substation is a 500kV substation located in La Planicie, Lima, Peru.

The La Planicie Substation project’s construction has begun in 2021. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2023.

Description

La Planicie Substation project, which is a new substation, will be operated by Consorcio TransMantaro.

The designed voltage level of the substation is 500/220kV and the operating voltage level is 500/220kV.

The step-in voltage of the project is 500kV and the step-out voltage is 220kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 600MVA.

Consorcio TransMantaro S.A. operates a 603 km, 220 kV transmission interconnection line between the cities of Mantaro and Socabaya in Peru, along the Andean mountains.
