Ling Jin Tan is a 270MW hydro power project. It is located on Yuanshui river/basin in Hunan, China. The project is currently active. It has been developed in single phase. The project construction commenced in 1994 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1998.

Description

The project was developed by Wuling Power. China Power International Development, CGN New Energy Holdings and Hunan Xiangtou Holding Group are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 63%, 18.5% and 18.5% respectively.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 634 million cubic meter. The project generated 1,171.451 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $405.4m.

The hydro power project consists of 9 turbines, each with 30MW nameplate capacity.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 1994 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 1998.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to China Southern Power Grid under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

The electric generators for the project were procured from Harbin Electric Machinery and Hitachi.
