The Los Rulos Combined Cycle Power Plant is 540MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Valparaiso, Chile. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2024.

Description
The project is being developed by Cerro El Plomo and Inkia Energy. These companies also have ownership stakes in the project.
It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The power plant can run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant will be natural gas. In case of shortage of natural gas the plant will run on Fuel Oil/Diesel.
The project will generate 4,000,000MWh of electricity. The project cost is expected to be around $600m.
