Description

The project is being developed by DL Energy and Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power. Korea Midland Power, Pakistan Water and Power Development Authority, DL Energy, LOTTE Engineering & Construction and POSCO Engineering & Construction are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 34%, 26%, 14%, 6% and 2% respectively.

Lower Spat Gah is a run-of-river project. The gross head of the project will be 745m. The project is expected to generate 2,084 GWh of electricity.

The hydro power project consists of 3 units of pelton turbines.

Development status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2026. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2029.

Contractors involved

Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power is expected to perform operations and maintenance for the hydro power project for a period of 30 years.
