Description

The project was developed by Macho Springs Power I and is currently owned by Capital Power with a stake of 100%.

The project supplies enough clean energy to power 14,000 households. The project cost is $119.448m.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Tucson Electric Power under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 50MW.

Contractors Involved

M. A. Mortenson was selected to render EPC services for the wind power project.

Vestas Wind Systems was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The company provided 28 units of V100-1.8 MW turbines, each with 1.8MW nameplate capacity.

EDF Renewables is the O&M contractor for the wind power project.
