Description

ContourGlobal and Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania are currently owning the project having ownership stake of 73% and 27% respectively.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The fuel is procured from Mini Maritsa Iztok EAD.

Development Status

The project got commissioned in 1978.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Natsionalna Elektricheska Kompania under a power purchase agreement.

Contractors Involved

RWE Industrie-Losungen was selected to render EPC services for the coal fired power project.

Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod was selected as the turbine supplier for thermal power project. The project consists of 4 units of K-225-130-2M turbines, each with 227MW nameplate capacity.

Electrosila supplied TBB-200-2 electric generator for the Maritsa East 3 Power Plant (Maritsa East 3 Power Plant Unit I).

Electrosila supplied TBB-200-2 electric generator for the Maritsa East 3 Power Plant (Maritsa East 3 Power Plant Unit II).

Electrosila supplied TBB-200-2 electric generator for the Maritsa East 3 Power Plant (Maritsa East 3 Power Plant Unit III).

Podolsk Machine-Building Plant ZIO supplied steam boiler for the project.
