Maritza East Substation is a 400kV substation located in Maritza East, Stara Zagora, Bulgaria.

The Maritza East Substation project’s construction has begun in 2020. The works are expected to be commissioned in 2021.

Description

Maritza East Substation project, which is an upgrade substation, will be operated by Electroenergien Sistemen Operator.

The designed voltage level of the substation is 400kV and the operating voltage level is 400kV.

The step-in voltage of the project is 400kV. Upon completion, the substation will have a capacity of 100MVA.

Maritza East Substation project development status

The development of the Maritza East Substation project was approved by State Energy Regulation Commission in 2020. The project is expected to be commissioned in 2021.
