Matli-TAY Powergen Biomass Power Plant is a 30MW biopower project. It is planned in Sindh, Pakistan. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. Description

The project is being developed and currently owned by Tay Powergen.

The project cost is expected to be around $70.152m.

The process of combustion will be adopted in this combined heat and power (CHP) project to release the stored energy from the feed. Bagasse which is a kind of agricultural by-product will be used as a feedstock to power the project.

Contractors Involved

Hangzhou Steam Turbine will be the steam turbine supplier for the project. The company is expected to provide 2 turbines, each with 15MW nameplate capacity.

Heavy Mechanical Complex (Pvt) is likely to be the supplier of the steam boiler for the project. The boiler that will get installed at the site is expected to have a capacity of 100TPH.
