Description

The project was developed by Canadian Hydro Developers and is currently owned by TransAlta Renewables with a stake of 100%.

The project generates 545,000MWh electricity and supplies enough clean energy to power 70,000 households.

Power Purchase Agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Ontario Power Authority under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 199.5MW.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the wind power project. The project consists of 133 units of 1.5-77 turbines, each with 1.5MW nameplate capacity.
