Description

The project was developed by Ozaltin Holding and is currently owned by Enerjisa Enerji Uretim.

The hydro reservoir capacity is 50.797 million cubic meter. The total number of penstocks, pipes or long channels that carry water down from the hydroelectric reservoir to the turbines inside the actual power station, are 2 in number. The penstock diameter is 9m. The project generated 202.6 GWh of electricity. The project cost is $258.079m.

Development Status

The project construction commenced in 2009 and subsequently entered into commercial operation in 2011.

Contractors Involved

GE Renewable Energy was selected as the turbine supplier for the hydro power project. The company provided 2 units of francis turbines, each with 42.5MW nameplate capacity.

GE Renewable Energy supplied electric generator(s) for the project. The generator capacity is 50 MVA.
