Messaure – Finska Gransen line is a 400kV overhead line from Messaure, Norrbotten, Sweden, to Finska Gransen, Ostgransen, Sweden.

The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2023.


Messaure – Finska Gransen line is an overhead line that will be operated by Svenska Kraftnat. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $184.61m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.

The development of the Messaure – Finska Gransen line project has been approved by the Swedish Energy Markets Inspectorate.
