T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in June 2021 with 112 tenders and a 53.8% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 36 tenders and a 17.3% share and T&D Project with 26 tenders and a 12.5% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Project Implementation: 21 tenders and an 87.5% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and an 8.3% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 4.2% share.
Solar is top technology for Middle East and Africa power plant tenders in June 2021
Looking at power plant tenders by the type of technology in the Middle East and Africa region, solar accounted for 20 tenders with a 90.9% share, followed by thermal with one tender and a 4.5% share and biopower with one tender and a 4.5% share.

The top issuers of power plant tenders for the month in terms of power capacity involved in Middle East and Africa were:
