  1. Project Implementation with 13 contracts and a 48.1% share
  2. Power Purchase Agreement: six contracts and a 22.2% share
  3. Supply & Erection: four contracts and a 14.8% share
  4. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: three contracts and an 11.1% share
  5. Consulting & Similar Services: one contract and a 3.7% share.

The United Arab Emirates tops Middle East and Africa solar power contracts activity

The United Arab Emirates was the top country in the Middle East and Africa region for solar technology contracts recorded in Q4 2019 with four contracts and a 14.8% share, followed by Jordan with three contracts and an 11.1% share and Burkina Faso with three contracts and an 11.1% share.

The top issuers of contracts for the quarter in terms of power capacity involved in Middle East and Africa were:

  1. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (United Arab Emirates): 900MW from one contract
  2. Egyptian Electricity Transmission (Egypt): 400MW from two contracts
