The proportion of solar technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Project Implementation with 62 tenders and a 73.8% share
- Supply & Erection: 17 tenders and a 20.2% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: two tenders and a 2.4% share
- Consulting & Similar Services: two tenders and a 2.4% share
- Power Purchase Agreement: one tender and a 1.2% share.
Kenya tops Middle East and Africa solar power tenders activity
Kenya was the top country in the Middle East and Africa region for solar technology tenders recorded in Q2 2021 with 13 tenders and a 15.5% share, followed by Jordan with ten tenders and an 11.9% share and South Africa with eight tenders and a 9.5% share.
