T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the Middle East and Africa region in Q2 2021 with 309 tenders and a 52.7% share, followed by T&D Project with 90 tenders and a 15.4% share and Generation Equipment with 82 tenders and a 14% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 290 tenders and a 93.9% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 18 tenders and a 5.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 0.3% share.

Thermal is top technology for Middle East and Africa T&D equipment tenders in Q2 2021

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the Middle East and Africa region, thermal accounted for four tenders with an 80% share, followed by hydro with one tender and a 20% share.
