Description
The project is currently owned by Toshiba.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 80,000 households, offsetting 300,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is $212.63m.
The process of combustion has been adopted in this project to release the stored energy from the feed. Palm kernel shells which is a kind of agricultural by-product is used as a feedstock to power the project.
