Mobarakeh Steel Power Plant Expansion, Iran

The Mobarakeh Steel Power Plant Expansion is 1,500MW gas fired power project. It is planned in Isfahan, Iran. The project is currently in permitting stage. It will be developed in single phase. The project construction is likely to commence in 2022 and is expected to enter into commercial operation in 2024.

The project is being developed and currently owned by Esfahan’s Mobarakeh Steel.

It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel will be procured from Ministry of Petroleum.

The project cost is expected to be around $1,065.6m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2024.
