Mtwara – Namialo Line is a 400kV overhead line with a length of 51km from Mtwara City, Mtwara, Tanzania, to Namialo, Mozambique border, Mozambique Border, Tanzania.
The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.
Mtwara – Namialo Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Tanzania Electric Supply. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.
The development of the Mtwara – Namialo Line project has been approved by the Energy and Water Utilities Regulatory Authority.
