It is a combined cycle gas turbine (ccgt) power plant. The fuel is procured from PT Nusantara Regas, Pertamina Hulu Energi Offshore North West Java (PHE ONWJ).

PT Pembangkitan Jawa-Bali is the O&M contractor for the Muara Karang Combined Cycle Power Plant (Muara Karang Combined Cycle Power Plant Block II).
