Description

The project was developed by Technopromexport and is currently owned by Ministry of Electricity, Iraq with a stake of 100%.

It is a Steam Turbine power plant. The power plant run on dual-fuel. The primary fuel being used to power the plant is fuel oil. In case of shortage of fuel oil the plant can also run on Gas.

Leningradsky Metallichesky Zavod was selected as the turbine supplier for the Oil fired project. The company provided 6 units of K-200-130-3 Steam Turbine steam turbines, each with 210MW nameplate capacity.
