The project is being developed by Alliant Energy and National Grid Renewables. The project is currently owned by Alliant Energy.

National Grid Springfield Solar PV Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is planned over 884 acres.

The project is expected to supply enough clean energy to power 23,500 households, to offset 146,000t of carbon dioxide emissions (CO2) a year. The project cost is expected to be around $107.8m.

Development Status

The project construction is expected to commence from 2022. Subsequent to that it will enter into commercial operation by 2023.
