Description

The project was developed by Shell Energy Australia. The project is co-owned by Energy Infrastructure Trust and Shell Energy Australia, with their respective ownership stake of 50% each.

It is a Gas Turbine power plant that is used for Peakload. The fuel is procured from Dampier to Bunbury Natural Gas Pipeline.

Power purchase agreement

The power generated from the project is sold to Synergy under a power purchase agreement for a period of 20 years. The contracted capacity is 330MW.

Siemens was selected as the turbine supplier for the Gas fired project. The company provided 2 units of SGT5-2000E gas turbines, each with 165MW nameplate capacity.
