Description
The project was developed by Imperial Valley Solar Company 1 and is currently owned by SunPeak Solar.
Niland- Imperial Valley Solar Park is a ground-mounted solar project which is spread over an area of 130 acres.
The project supplies enough clean energy to power 14,000 households. The project cost is $114.614m.
Development Status
The project got commissioned in May 2012.
Power Purchase Agreement
The power generated from the project is sold to Imperial Irrigation District under a power purchase agreement.
Contractors Involved
Wuxi Suntech Power was selected as the supplier of the PV modules for the project. The company provided 100,000 modules each with 280W of nameplate capacity.
