Electricity Procurement stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in September 2019 with 24 contracts and a 40.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 19 contracts and a 32.2% share and Power Plant with nine contracts and a 15.3% share during the month.
The proportion of contracts by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Power Purchase Agreement: 22 contracts and a 91.7% share
- Electricity Supply: two contracts and an 8.3% share.
Solar is top technology for North America electricity procurement contracts in September 2019
Looking at electricity procurement contracts by the type of technology in the North America region, solar accounted for 18 contracts with a 64.3% share, followed by wind with ten contracts and a 35.7% share.
