Generation Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in July 2019 with 53 tenders and a 40.8% share, followed by T&D Equipment with 49 tenders and a 37.7% share and Energy Storage with ten tenders and a 7.7% share during the month.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 31 tenders and a 58.5% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 22 tenders and a 41.5% share.

Thermal is top technology for North America generation equipment tenders in July 2019

Looking at generation equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for 49 tenders with a 92.5% share, followed by solar with three tenders and a 5.7% share and hydro with one tender and a 1.9% share.
