North America power industry tenders in October 2020: The US leads activity

Looking at tenders by country, the US led the activity in October 2020 with 215 tenders and a share of 87%, up 1.3% over the previous month and up 35% when compared with the last 12 month-average, followed by Canada with 32 tenders and a share of 13%.

Looking at the last 12-month average, the US held the top spot with 159 tenders, followed by Canada with 33.

Thermal is top technology area for tenders in October 2020

Looking at tenders divided by the type of technology, thermal accounted for the largest proportion with 76 tenders and an 80% share, followed by solar with 13 tenders and a 13.7% share and hydro with two tenders and a 2.1% share.

Looking at power industry tenders divided by segment in North America as tracked by GlobalData, T&D Equipment was the most popular segment in October 2020, with 125 tenders, followed by Generation Equipment (75) and Energy Storage (29).
