T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in May 2020 with 99 tenders and a 46.5% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 75 tenders and a 35.2% share and Power Plant with 14 tenders and a 6.6% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 95 tenders and a 96% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: four tenders and a 4% share.
Hydro is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in May 2020
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, hydro accounted for four tenders with an 80% share, followed by wind with one tender and a 20% share.
