T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in May 2021 with 80 tenders and a 43.2% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 60 tenders and a 32.4% share and Power Plant with 14 tenders and a 7.6% share during the month.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 71 tenders and an 88.8% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: nine tenders and an 11.3% share.
Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in May 2021
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for two tenders with a 66.7% share, followed by hydro with one tender and a 33.3% share.
