T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q1 2020 with 250 tenders and a 48.6% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 159 tenders and a 30.9% share and Energy Storage with 44 tenders and an 8.6% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 242 tenders and a 96.8% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: seven tenders and a 2.8% share
  3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 0.4% share.

Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in Q1 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for five tenders with a 71.4% share, followed by hydro with two tenders and a 28.6% share.
