T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q2 2021 with 300 tenders and a 43% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 228 tenders and a 32.7% share and Power Plant with 49 tenders and a 7% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 280 tenders and a 93.3% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 20 tenders and a 6.7% share.

Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in Q2 2021

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for seven tenders with a 53.8% share, followed by hydro with five tenders and a 38.5% share and solar with one tender and a 7.7% share.
