T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q3 2020 with 318 tenders and a 42.7% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 307 tenders and a 41.3% share and Power Plant with 44 tenders and a 5.9% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

  1. Supply & Erection: 295 tenders and a 92.8% share
  2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 23 tenders and a 7.2% share.

Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in Q3 2020

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for nine tenders with an 81.8% share, followed by hydro with two tenders and an 18.2% share.
