T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q4 2020 with 282 tenders and a 43.9% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 222 tenders and a 34.6% share and Energy Storage with 46 tenders and a 7.2% share during the quarter.
The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:
- Supply & Erection: 262 tenders and a 92.9% share
- Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 19 tenders and a 6.7% share
- Project Implementation: one tender and a 0.4% share.
Thermal is top technology for North America T&D equipment tenders in Q4 2020
Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, thermal accounted for three tenders with a 60% share, followed by hydro with one tender and a 20% share and solar with one tender and a 20% share.
