There were 295 T&D equipment tenders announced in the North America region in Q3 2021, marking a drop of 1% over the last four-quarter average of 298, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

T&D Equipment stood at first place when compared with other power tender categories in the North America region in Q3 2021 with 295 tenders and a 40.5% share, followed by Generation Equipment with 278 tenders and a 38.1% share and Power Plant with 45 tenders and a 6.2% share during the quarter.

The proportion of tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the quarter was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection: 274 tenders and a 92.9% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 20 tenders and a 6.8% share
3. Consulting & Similar Services: one tender and a 0.3% share.

Looking at T&D equipment tenders by the type of technology in the North America region, hydro accounted for seven tenders with a 70% share, followed by thermal with three tenders and a 30% share.
