North America thermal technology tenders in July 2019 saw 50 tenders announced, marking a drop of 12% over the last 12-month average of 57, according to GlobalData’s power industry tenders database.

Oil was the top category in thermal technology in terms of number of tenders for the month in North America, accounting for 45 tenders and a 93.8% share, followed by Gas with three tenders and a 6.3% share.

The proportion of thermal technology tenders by category tracked by GlobalData in the month was as follows:

1. Supply & Erection with 28 tenders and a 56% share
2. Repair, Maintenance, Upgrade & Others: 21 tenders and a 42% share
3. Project Implementation: one tender and a 2% share.

The US tops North America thermal power tenders activity

The US was the top country in the North America region for thermal technology tenders recorded in July 2019 with 39 tenders and a 78% share, followed by Canada with 11 tenders and a 22% share.
