North Gila – Imperial Valley II Line, US

North Gila – Imperial Valley II Line is a 500kV overhead line with a length of 273.6km from North Gila, Arizona, US, to Imperial Valley, California, US.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.

Description

North Gila – Imperial Valley II Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Duke Energy. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through double circuit cable.

Approximately $400m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
