North Gila – Imperial Valley Line is a 500kV overhead line with a length of 273.6km from North Gila, New Mexico, US, to Imperial Valley, California, US.

The project, which is currently in the planning stage, is expected to be commissioned in 2022.

Description

North Gila – Imperial Valley Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Duke Energy. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through single circuit cable.

Approximately $291m was financed by the authorities to undertake the construction works of the project.
