Nova Iguacu Substation is a 500/138kV substation located in Nova Iguacu, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The construction works on Nova Iguacu Substation began in 2015. The project was commissioned in 2016.

Description

The Nova Iguacu Substation project is a new substation being operated by Operador Nacional do Sistema Eletrico.

The designed voltage level of the project is 500/138kV, while the operating voltage level is 500/138kV.The step-in voltage of the substation is 500kV and the step-out voltage is 138kV. The substation capacity is 900MVA.

Nova Iguacu Substation has received approval from Ministry of Mines and Energy, Brazil to undertake the works on the project.
