Nueva Yanango – Carapongo Line is a 500kV overhead line with a length of 200km from Nueva Yanango, Huanuco, Peru, to Carapongo, Lima, Peru.

The project, which is currently under construction, is expected to be commissioned in 2021.


Nueva Yanango – Carapongo Line is an overhead line that will be operated by Consorcio TransMantaro. The line will carry alternating current (AC) through single circuit cable.

The development of the Nueva Yanango – Carapongo Line project has been approved by the DGE-National Electricity Office.

The construction works on the Nueva Yanango – Carapongo Line project were commenced in 2020 and commissioning is expected in 2021.
